Monroe, MichiganIn this city of 22,000 people, as the city’s Downtown Development Director and Economic Development Director, Peter Gozza created a downtown master plan that: - Renegotiated sale prices of slow moving buildings with absentee owners. - Established a loan fund to facilitate façade improvements - Negotiated agreement with local port authority to redevelop a 60 acre industrial park containing several abandoned industrial sites.
Pinellas Park, Florida In this city of 46,000 people, as Executive Director of the Community Redevelopment Agency, Peter Gozza developed a municipal redevelopment plan that: - Established a Tax Increment Finance District - Developed an agreement with three local banks to set aside $500,000 for low-interest loans for commercial property owners. - Landscaped three miles of roadway through a $150,000 Highway Beautification Grant. - Established a design review board to review development projects for compliance with design guidelines.
